INHF summer interns

This article first appeared in INHF's Summer 2006 magazine.

INHF's "indoor" interns are, from left, Jessica Nanke, program support; Linda Yang, communications; and Heidi Miller, graphic design.

INHF welcomes our summer interns—11 energetic college students who raise our productivity and spirits.

Our eight-person land stewardship intern crew camps and works together. Along with staff, they restore natural lands owned by INHF or by private landowners who have opted for permanent land protection agreements with INHF.

Three additional interns work in INHF’s Des Moines office. Their duties range from researching grant proposals to writing magazine articles to designing our 2007 wall calendar.

INHF internships are funded by the Buckmaster Internship Program through the R.J. McElroy Trust of Waterloo, the Ding Darling Educational Fund through the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust of Muscatine, the Svare Family Internship Fund and other private donations.

Interested college students should explore our 2007 internships.
