This scenic trail through the rolling “Grant Wood” Country includes wooded edges, riparian habitat, wet and dry prairie remnants, and open areas. Future plans involve extending this section of trail west through Muskrat Slough, Morley, Martelle, and connecting with the Grant Wood Trail on the east edge of Cedar Rapids and Marion as well as continuing east to the Mississippi River.
