Trail description:

The Jackson County Recreation Trail is a scenic trail along the Maquoketa River near Spragueville. The three communities of Bellevue, Preston, and Maquoketa are within a short distance of the trailhead. Local parks, wildlife areas, preserves and historical landmarks are located near the trail. Scenic overlooks along the trail provide striking views of the river valley and its limestone bluffs.
