The Agrestal Fund

INHF manages the Agrestal Fund which was established by Roger Ross Gipple in April 2004. Our purpose is to encourage public thought and discussion about the importance of wildness in Iowa. We are not endorsing a specific type of wildness or approach or a particular political agenda. Wildness is different to all of us. It might be a tree, forest, prairie or wetland; a wilderness area or a garden; a butterfly or cougar; or simply a state of mind. A description of the Agrestal Fund and the essay contest guidelines, as well as its philosophy is provided on this website. Agrestal activities will take on a variety of forms and will be organized by a variety of organizations and volunteers, with resources provided by the Fund.

To learn more about activities now in development, contact:

To contribute to The Agrestal Fund, contact Anita O'Gara at INHF.
