The Lawrence and Eula Hagie Heritage Award, one of Iowa's largest conservation prizes, is given annually to an individual who demonstrates  extraordinary personal commitment to improving the quality of Iowa's natural environment while encouraging others to do the same. Winners receive a cash prize, along with a hand-carved acorn sculpture for their outstanding conservation work.

INHF's commitment to education also reaches beyond our internship program to include two scholarships. The Ding Darling Scholarship is awarded to Iowa State University students in natural resource or communications fields. The Gladys Black Scholarship is awarded to Marion County college students who are pursuing studies and careers in conservation.
