BioBlitz 2008
Schedule of Events

IMPORTANT BIOBLITZ UPDATE Due to flooding, the June 2008 BioBlitz has been canceled.  Because of flooding, soil saturation, siltation and the like, we decided that holding the BioBlitz at this time puts too many risks not only on the participants but also on the land itself.  But don’t despair!!  You can sign up for our August BioBlitz event and/or plan to attend the make-up BioBlitz event that we’ll hold at about this time in June 2009.

Saturday, August 23

• 12:00 pm - Check-in begins
• 1:00 PM - Opening Program/Welcome
• 1:30 PM-4:00 PM – 1^st Field Session
• 4:00-5:00 PM - Dinner
• 5:00-8:00 PM – 2^nd Field Session
• 8:00 PM-12:00 AM – Optional 3^rd Field Session (this will be a good time to see bats, blacklight invertebrates, and owls)

Sunday, August 24

• 12:00-6:00 AM - Open/free time (this will be a good time to sleep)
• 6:00-8:00 AM - Breakfast/Optional morning Field Session (this will be a good time to see birds and any other Taxon Teams wanting an early start)
• 8:00 AM-12:00 PM – 4^th Field Session
• 12:00-12:30 PM - Lunch
• 12:30-1:00 PM - Closing Program
