Apply for a WFAN Conference Scholarship
Women who own farmland in Iowa are invited to apply for one of 15 $200 scholarships available for those attending the 2016 WFAN conference in Nebraska City from Nov. 4-5. Attendees of Women, Food and Agriculture Network's event will stay in Lied Lodge during the conference. This year's theme is Women and Permaculture: Making a Living in Harmony with the Land, and will feature field tours, workshops and a keynote presentation that will all focus on regenerative agriculture from private gardens to sprawling farms.
In addition to being a supporter of this conference, INHF will also be an exhibitor. A full line-up of events is listed on the conference website.
How to apply
To apply for the scholarship, women who own farmland in Iowa may fill out an application form in advance. If selected for the scholarship, funds will be distributed after the conference has ended and a survey has been completed. More information on the scholarship can be found on WFAN's website.
The scholarship is intended to offset costs of the conference and is made possible through REAP, a program through the Iowa Department of Natural Resources that is dedicated to the protection of the state's natural resources.
