INHF welcomes two new interns
Each season INHF welcomes a new crop of interns, whether they're in the field or in the office. This week, our new summer design intern, Lexi Ruskell, and program support intern, Sam Wettach, joined us!
Lexi hails from Burnsville, Minn. and will be a senior at Drake University come fall. She is studying graphic design with a minor in advertising. Lexi is currently a graphic designer for an organization on Drake’s campus called Campus Fellowship and operates her own photography business. In her free time, she enjoys taking outdoor photography. “I like how the composition of the photos I take are different because it is more natural,” said Lexi.
In her new role as design intern, Lexi will be organizing photos, designing the 2015 calendar, creating promotional and educational pieces and designing graphics for our webpage and social media.
Sam hails from Decorah, Iowa, and recently graduated from Luther College this past Sunday, May 25. He received a bachelor of Liberal Arts in history with a minor in environmental science. Sam really enjoys sports and being outdoors. He umpires for high school baseball and enjoys biking, fishing and hiking. “I enjoy getting away from everything, being relaxed and just enjoying nature,” said Sam.
In his new role as program support intern, Sam will be researching and writing the summer Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) grants.
Welcome to the team, Lexi and Sam!
