Nature Walk: Fiery Skipper

Fiery Skipper

“Fiery Skippers may be seen feeding on the nectar of flowers in your back yard. Compared to a monarch or tiger swallowtail, they are tiny and can be easily overlooked. The larval caterpillars often feed on exotic species of lawn grasses, thus bringing them to backyards across a range from the upper Midwest south through Central America to Argentina.” – Carl Kurtz
