Timber Rattlesnake

On June 10-11, 2013, INHF staff and the bluffland and statewide land stewardship intern crews worked on an INHF conservation easement in northeast Iowa. While working, they came across a few slithery friends.

The timber rattlesnakes the land stewardship department encountered didn't cause them any trouble, but the group took care to avoid getting too close to the venomous reptiles.

Have you come across any interesting wildlife this summer?
