The public is invited to the Practical Farmers of Iowa Field Days on September 15 at Red Fern Farm, 13882 I Ave in Wapello. The event is sponsored by INHF and will have a theme of "From Fruits to Nuts: Managing and Marketing Tree Crops," hosted by Kathy Dice and Tom Wahl.
Visitors will tour the planting house and orchards at Red Fern Farm while learning about different types of trees and nuts along the way. Refreshments will be provided.
Red Farm Farm is an 86-acre, family owned and operated nursey. The farm is the site of ongoing tree crop and forest farming system research.
Due to the popularity of this event and a desire to keep the quality of the tour high, attendance is limited to 50. After the first 50 registrations additional names will be placed on a waiting list. This event is free to the first 50 individuals who RSVP and $25 at the door for those who did not RSVP.
If you would like to attend or for questions, contact Kathy Dice at (319) 729-5905 or email kathy@redfernfarm.com.
