			<title><![CDATA[Hertz Woods Dedication]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>The public is invited to help dedicate the Hertz Woods Family Woods &amp; Nature Preserve, Sunday, May 27. A short program will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by a hike and light refreshments. The new Story County natural area is located just south of&nbsp; Nevada at 25401 Country Club Road.</p>
<p>No RSVP is necessary. For questions, contact <a href="mailto:cwilliams@storycounty.com">Carol Williams</a> at the Story County Conservation Board, 515-232-2516.</p>
<p>This beautiful natural area has been donated by the Hertz Family for public enjoyment. Project partners are the Hertz Family, Story County Conservation Board and the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.</p>

			<title><![CDATA[Loess Hills Prairie Seminar]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>The public is invited to the <a href="http://www.nwaea.k12.ia.us/en/programs_and_services/loess_hills_prairie_seminar/" target="_blank">Loess Hills Prairie Seminar</a>, with activities for the whole family. The event with associated field trips take place at the Loess Hills Wildlife Management Area, Monona County West High School and other area locations. Songwriter &amp; storyteller Douglas Wood is one of this year's featured guests. The Northwest Area Education Agency is the primary sponsor, with cosponsors including INHF. <br />

<p>A hike on the R.T. Reese Homestead project area, 22133 Larpenteur Road, one mile north of Turin, on June 2, from 1:15-4:00 p.m. The hike will be lead by David Zahrt, a Reese family member and prior owner of the property. Prairie seminar participants are invited to attend a dedication at the Reese project area on Sunday, June 3, beginning at 1 p.m., which will include a short program, hikes and light refreshments. </p>

			<title><![CDATA[R.T. Reese Homestead Dedication]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>The public is invited to join family members and partners to dedicate the opening of the R.T. Reese Homestead area, north of Turin, at 22133 Larpenteur Road<a name="Reese_map"></a>. The event will begin with a short program at 1 p.m., followed by hikes and light refreshments.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Representatives of the Reese Family and  the private-public partnership that protected the land will introduce  visitors to the new 280-acre public area on the Loess Hills Scenic  Byway. Project partners include the Monona County Conservation Board, the Iowa  Natural Heritage Foundation and the Iowa Department of Natural  Resources.</p>
<p>No RSVP necessary. The event will be held, rain or shine. Dress casually for outdoor conditions. You may want to bring a folding chair since seating for the program will be limited.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 10pt;" _mce_style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;" _mce_style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></span></p>
