About Snyder Heritage Farm:
Beauty is abundant at Snyder Heritage Farm, a 154-acre preserve 20 minutes northeast of Des Moines. For two-and-a-half decades, the property has slowly transitioned from a traditional farm to an exquisite blend of prairie, oak savanna, wetland and woodland. Snyder Heritage Farm is owned and managed by INHF.
Please bring:
- Long pants, sturdy shoes and work gloves
- Water bottle
- Sun protection
- A lawn chair, if you have one
- All other equipment provided
Details:
- No experience necessary
- Families welcome
- You will be asked to sign a liability waiver
- Expect a short hike through tall prairie grass
