National Trails Day

Join Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Polk County Conservation and REI West Des Moines to celebrate National Trails Day for an afternoon of natural trails maintenance. Afterward, kick up your heels, relax and celebrate with an evening of local food from Tacopocalypse and a special National Trails Day brew crafted by Peace Tree Brewing Co.  INHF Trails and Greenways Director Andrea Boulton will speak about the "History of Iowa Trails," followed by live music with Adam Bruce.  Free camping at Jester Park is available that Saturday for all registered volunteers.

No experience necessary, all equipment provided. Kids welcome! Trail work will run from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. Arrive at 12:30 p.m. to get signed in and geared up. Registration required for the meal and camping; please indicate if you will camp that evening at sign-in. Registration deadline is June 1.
