Join Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Bur Oak Land Trust, Four Mounds Foundation, The Nature Conservancy in Iowa, Sustainable Iowa Land Trust and Whiterock Conservancy for a day outdoors.
Explore Belgum Grove, 1 40-acre prairie restoration, while hand collecting prairie seeds to help protect and expand this habitat. The harvest will be followed by an optional lunch at Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City.
This annual event brings together supporters, volunteers and staff from land trusts across Iowa to lend a hand on the land. Volunteer activities and locations change annually.
No experience necessary. Families welcome.
Please wear:
- Long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and close-toed shoes
- Bring leather gloves if you have them, along with a bottle of water
- We will provide seed harvesting equipment
