INHF will host a dedication to celebrate the permanent protection of Heritage Valley. Guests are invited to mix and mingle with staff, board members and friends, and explore Heritage Valley at their leisure through a self-guided audio tour, short hikes and signed points of interest. A celebration toast, short remarks and unveiling of the forthcoming sign design will begin at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. In the event of rain, this event will be rescheduled for spring 2019.

Details & Directions
We recommend wearing sturdy shoes or hiking boots, long pants and sun protection. Feel free to bring hiking polls, a camera, binoculars, field guides, etc., if you you like.
Guests should meet and park at the old barn foundation located at foot of Heritage Valley.

From Waukon, go north on Hwy 76/9th St. NW out of Waukon. In 7 miles, take a left onto Iverson Bridge Rd. Go past Sandpiper Rd. At the first "Y" in the road, go left onto Ellingson Bridge Dr. At the 2nd "Y", go right to stay on Ellingson Bridge Dr. Go over the river and just after Red Bud Dr., look for an INHF sign and staff. Parking is available on a driveway on the left.
From Decorah, leaving from W. Water St., head west and make a slight right onto College Dr. At the intersection of College and Locust Rd., take a right and follow Locust Rd./W38 for 9 miles. At the intersection of W38 and Big Canoe Rd., take a right and follow for 5 miles. At the 3 way intersection of Balsam Rd., take a right following W60/Balsam Rd. to the intersection of Ellingson Bridge Dr. Take a left and follow Ellingson Bridge Dr. around the bend until you see an INHF sign.
