Last year, 1,565 registered volunteers removed over 40,000 pounds of litter, brush, tires and recyclables in Des Moines while beautifying our public lands, cleaning up our waterways, clearing away invasive species, creating new trails and more. They even collected almost 20 pounds of cigarette butts as part of our Big Buttowski competition!
