Job description
This intern designs the INHF calendar (summer only), annual report donor insert (spring only), brochures, invitations, ads, and many other items. This intern also maintains and improves INHF's website. Depending on skills and interest, this intern might also perform other communications/PR internship duties.

Application info
This position usually goes to graphic design majors, journalism majors with visual design specialty or others with strong design/website design experience and coursework. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is a big plus. Web experience is also very helpful, but we can train you. Be sure to highlight relevant classroom, internship, job or volunteer experiences in your resume and cover letter! If you have an online portfolio, feel free to include the link in your application. Either way, you can bring your portfolio to the interview.
Availability
There is a preference for applicants who can take the position for more than one semester, but one-semester applicants are considered (especially in summer if it opens the job to students outside of the Des Moines area). Design interns work in our downtown Des Moines office and must have their own transportation to and from work.
