Our People

It takes a lot of talented people to make the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation so effective.

INHF Members
INHF receives key operational and project support from our more than 7,000 members. We have an unusually high retention rate for INHF members--which says good things about both the organization and these great people who support it. We'd love to have you join us--both for member benefits and for the good feeling of knowing that you're protecting Iowa's special places "for those who follow." Special thanks to our major donors, too!

INHF Board
INHF's board of directors includes about 30 community, business and conservation leaders throughout the state. These folks attend our board meetings, approve or disapprove major projects and offer their specific skills as needed.

INHF Advisors
Like our board, INHF's advisors include about 30 community, business and conservation leaders throughout the state. Though these folks generally don't attend board meetings, they provide expert advice about their areas of expertise and/or local areas.

INHF Staff
INHF staff includes professionals trained in landscape architecture, wildlife biology, law, communications and more. This staff page includes a photograph of our current staff along with their names, titles and contact information.

INHF Interns
Each year, INHF hires about a dozen college students to help with tasks including management of natural lands, land use planning, communications, graphic design, research, grant proposal writing and more. Our interns make significant contributions to their resumes, to INHF's success and to Iowa's natural resources.

INHF Partners
INHF's mission statement says we "build partnerships." In fact, it's hard to think of an INHF project that doesn't include at least one, and often multiple, partners. INHF partners include private landowners, private conservation organizations, public conservation agencies, public and private funders, and many more. You can learn about some of these partners on our links page or by reading of their contributions towards specific projects.
