Trail description:
The Waverly Rail Trail is mostly woodland and prairie, but includes wetlands and rock cuts. The trail corridor contains a wide variety of flora and fauna and great fall foliage.
The trail has eight bridges, including a 500-foot-long former railroad trestle that crosses the Cedar River. Like many rail-trails, the route is relatively flat.
A 2.2-mile trail connection to Denver was completed in 2002. Organizers have plans to continue to Readlyn in the future.
