INHF Summer Interns

This article first appeared in INHF's Summer 2007 magazine.

INHF had another bumper crop of college interns this summer.

Back row: Tim Youngquist (crew leader), Erin Harpenau, Heath Van Waus, Meg Washburn, Dustin Graham and Molly Schlumbohm.

Front row: Courtney Turnis, Claire McConahay and Jen Rogers.

Our land stewardship interns work on sites owned byINHF or by private landowners who have implemented permanent land protection through INHF. These interns remove invasive species, hand-harvest native seeds and restore cold-water streams.

Our “indoor” interns write articles and grant applications, design the calendar and brochures, maintain the website and manage events.

Our law intern does conservation policy research.

INHF internships are funded by the R.J. McElroy Trust, Rose Mary Schwent, Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust, Svare Family Internship Fund, Richard S. (Sandy) Rhodes II Fund, the Drake University Law School and several personal contributions.
