INHF gains new board members, officers

This article first appeared in INHF's Winter 2010 magazine.

The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation relies on an all-volunteer board of committed Iowans in our efforts to protect the state’s natural treasures.

At our October 2009 board meeting, four new faces joined the board.

Garth Adams of Des Moines is a shareholder at the Belin McCormick law firm and has worked with INHF in “friend raising” for the High Trestle Trail in central Iowa.

Andrew Anderson of Des Moines is a partner at the law firm of Faegre & Benson LLP. His conservation interests include wildlife habitat, trails and trout streams.

Paul Easter of Des Moines is president of Easter’s, Inc. of Altoona. He has served as an INHF advisor since 2004 and was involved with the Foundation’s work on the Ventura Cove Enhancement Project along Clear Lake.

John Gray of Sioux City is a partner at the Heidman Law Firm, LLP, and is interested in wildlife habitat, trails and trout streams.

Meanwhile, several current board members stepped up to new leadership positions. Carole Reichardt was named as the new Chair, Bruce Campbell as 1st Vice Chair, and Travis Young as 2nd Vice Chair. Other officers remain unchanged. Following her confirmation, Reichardt led the board and staff in thanking former chair Neil Hamilton for his active service over the past two years.

The following directors were re-elected for another three-year term: Don Beneke, Greg Beisker, Woody Brenton, Neil Hamilton, Tom Hoff, Chris Lindell, Katherine Linder, Katie Meredith, Scott Raecker and Travis Young.
