Mississippi River Blufflands Protection

The blufflands of Northeast Iowa hold exceptional beauty and crucial wildlife habitat. The area is rapidly changing, and we have just a short window of opportunity to save important wild places in the blufflands.

We've protected nearly 3,000 acres in just 5 years. We're poised to protect at least 1,000 acres of important wildlife habitat in the Mississippi Blufflands in the next two years.

The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation provides practical help to landowners willing to permanently protect their natural lands, About $35,000 in private contributions is needed to keep this successful program going strong. We invite your support.
