Get outdoors for these 2005 eventsNote: This article was first published in the Spring 2005 edition of INHF's quarterly magazine.
1. June 3-5: Loess Hills Prairie Seminar, near Onawa. INHF’s Agrestal Fund is a major financial sponsor. 2. June 4: National Trails Day, statewide. Events range from trail rides to trail clean-ups. INHF isn’t sponsoring a specific event but coordinates the statewide publicity and website. 3. June 11: Dedication, hike and workday to celebrate our new addition to Stone State Park, Sioux City. 4. June 18-25. Project AWARE River Clean-up on Little Sioux River. This annual volunteer event is coordinated by Iowa DNR. 5. Sept. 24: Upper Iowa River clean-up event, northeast Iowa. Co-sponsored by the Iowa DNR, Northeast Iowa RC&D and local canoe outfitters. The route will include recent INHF project sites. Oct. 1: Seed Harvest at Pearey addition to Marietta Sand Prairie.
