Project Gifts

At any given time, INHF is working on about 60 projects. Most INHF projects involve permanent protection of particular natural lands that will provide habitat for native plant and animal species, improve water quality and/or create public areas for outdoor recreation.

Our Project News page highlights a few current INHF projects, most of which need financial support.

Major projects with special needs or interest include:

  • Campaign for The Bluffs, The Hills, The Lakes–Give to permanent land protect in the Bluffs Country of northeastern Iowa, the Loess Hills of western Iowa, or Iowa's largest natural lakes. Each dollar you give is matched 9 to 1 with funds from other sources!

Additions are underway to these popular public areas:

  • Kuehn Conservation Area, Dallas County
  • Chichaqua Wildlife Area, Polk County

To learn about other current projects that fit your interests—or to inquire about a specific project—contact Anita O'Gara, INHF's Director of Development, by email or phone 800-475-1846.
