Financial Information The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation is a qualified charitable organization and donations to INHF are tax deductible. At least 90% of each dollar contributed is used for natural resource protection in Iowa. Less than 4% goes toward fundraising, and not a penny leaves the state. INHF relies totally on direct contributions from individuals, foundations, businesses and organizations to support its operations. We receive no operations support from government appropriations. For current financial information, view our latest annual report online. We compete for public grant funds for some land projects. Our 7,000 donors contributed more than $6 million to INHF or its projects in 2004. Additional revenue comes from reimbursements and no-interest loans for direct land protection projects.
