- make our water cleaner as natural lands are restored to health.
- bring migratory birds and other wildlife back to restored wetlands, better managed woodlands and newly created prairies that fulfill their needs for food and habitat.
- expand public funding for permanent land protection in Iowa.
- landowners choose permanent protection for their natural lands.
- young men and women use their brains and brawn for the health of the land.

Protecting Iowa nature is too important to leave to government alone.
- We spark action, bring partners together, and achieve conservation success that otherwise might not be possible. We often work with government agencies to accomplish our goals and theirs.
- Our work depends on private support: gifts from individuals, families, businesses and foundations. We receive very little direct government support.
