Mikayla Morris

INHF is excited to welcome Mikayla Morris as its new communications intern. As a communications intern, she will produce content for the magazine, website and social media pages that upholds INHF’s mission statement.

Mikayla grew up in Evergreen Park, IL where she spent countless hours outside playing sports or biking around town. With the wind in her hair, this is where she still is the happiest. Mikayla moved to Des Moines to attend Grand View University. At Grand View, she is studying digital media production, multimedia communications, journalism and public relations.

In her free time, Mikayla enjoys exploring Iowa’s natural beauty.

Academic Background: Digital Media Production, Multimedia Communication, Journalism and Public Relations, triple major B.A. in progress at Grand View University.

Favorite season to get outdoors: Fall. I love exploring while smelling the crisp fall air and seeing all the beautiful colored leaves.

Hoping to gain from the internship: I hope to expand my communication skills while learning more about Iowa’s natural treasures.

Hoping to bring to the internship: I am hoping to bring my communication knowledge to the table and help with any INHF needs!

“I am excited to begin my journey at INHF; I cannot wait to learn more about the work INHF does and do my part to help protect Iowa’s outdoors.”
