Spring Homeowner's Workshop: The Path to a Greener Home & Yard

Composting GraphicAt INHF we know that balancing home maintenance and environmental concerns can sometimes be a challenge. But thanks to a number of Iowa organizations, the process is becoming a little bit easier and helpful resources a bit more abundant.

Presented by the City of Cedar Falls and the Black Hawk County Soil and Water Conservation District, the Spring Homeowner’s Workshop is designed to help you make your home a greener place to live.

Learn about energy auditing, how to dispose of toxic household materials, creating your own fertilizer and compost, and the benefit of rain gardens. You’ll also discover how to receive rebates and funding opportunities for helping restore the water and soil of the property you live on.

When: Thursday, March 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Cedar Falls Community Center, located at 528 Main Street in Cedar Falls, IA
