Enjoy some time wandering the prairie and give back to the land to celebrate Public Lands Day! Registration is encouraged.
Dallas County Conservation Board, in partnership with INHF, is celebrating National Public Lands Day with this volunteer opportunity. The program will start with conversation about the history and restoration efforts at Voas. Then participants will hand-harvest prairie seed to be used to diversify and expand prairies across Dallas County. Monarch butterfly tagging may also be available, pending migration patterns and weather.
Please register if you are planning to come so appropriate materials can be prepared and you can be notified in case of cancellation or postponement. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary!
