At INHF, September isn't quite right without getting out on the prairie to harvest seed.
We invite you to Perkins Prairie Preserve, a peaceful, rare remnant prairie hidden in a little pocket of Greene County, Iowa. Come to hear the story of how the previous landowners, Carrol Perkins and Karen Voge-Perkins cared for the land, their decision to permanently protect the prairie and what has happened since.
We'll then get out on the land to collect prairie seed. We'll gather together at the end of the day to enjoy good company and cider.
Rain date: Thursday, Sept. 19
