What We Do: Oak Savanna Restoration

INHF staff member Tylar Samuels spent a few days last week restoring oak savanna in Marion County.

A few previous land stewardship interns and their classmates from Central College even came to help out with the restoration.

“It was nice having such a large crew,” Tylar said. ” And of course, no visit to this property is complete without a trip to the big White Oak.”

She also mentioned that there was a high rate of mortality for any cedar or honeysuckle in the area.
