The 4th National Conference for Women in Sustainable Agriculture is coming to the Midwest!

This year the biennial event will be in held in the Midwest for the first time and will focus on the theme “Cultivating our Food, Farms and Future.”

The conference will be at the Holiday Inn Des Moines-Airport/Conference Center November 6 – 8. It will feature more than 40 workshops about farming, advocacy and land health topics. Field tours will showcase women-owned farms, farm-to-table restaurants, and sustainable agriculture projects statewide, and pre-conference intensives will focus on soil health and women's leadership. Conference-goers can also look forward to hearing from keynote speakers Danielle Nierenberg of Food Tank, Pakou Hang of the Hmong American Farmers Association, and Kari Hamerschlag of Environmental Working Group.

“Cultivating our Food, Farms and Future” is expected to draw people from all across the country to network, learn and enjoy the best locally grown foods Midwest women farmers have to offer.
