Nature Walk: Winter Reflections

Posted on December 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM by Kerri Sorrell

The color of the landscape or any object may be a function of reflected light filtered by dust or moisture in the air. Coupled with the surface textures of smooth water, rough ice and deep dark shadows, the appearance of a common scene like this pond is dramatically modified.

Do you have any spectacular reflection photos from the winter months? Post them in the comments below or send them to designintern@inhf.org—we always love to see and use beautiful Iowa photography!
