Save the date: Bike Trail Tourism Conference on April 10

Chichaqua BikerBike enthusits and city planners, save the date! The “Bike Trail Tourism – Getting More Out of Your Trail” conference is set for Thursday, April 10 at the Hotel Pattee in Perry, IA. The conference will explore how to capture more economic benefit from Iowa’s trails.

“This conference was developed to help towns on the trail get more out of this valuable new community asset,” Jim Miller, board member of the Raccoon River Valley Trail (RRVT) and one of the conference organizers, said.

Four panels will discuss subjects like best practices for businesses on the trail, improving local signage to help direct bikers into local towns, public art on bike trails and helpful technology for bikers and marketing towns.

Conference registration is $20 per person (includes lunch and all conference materials.)

Pre-registration is required by April 7.  Please make checks payable to City of Perry
