Nature Walk: Wood Ducks

Posted on June 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM by Taylor Eisenhauer

Wood Ducks

Rivers and streams are prime habitat for broods of young wood ducks. They gradually move with the current down stream, utilizing emergent vegetation such as grasses or downed trees for cover and protection from predators. Here we see seven young although broods of more than twenty are possible.
