Prairie Awakening Celebration

Posted on September 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM by Taylor Eisenhauer

Prairie Awakening CelebrationJoin the Dallas County Conservation Board this Saturday, September 6th to hear the story of the Ioway Nation through music, dance, stories and more!

This event will be held in an arena carved out of the restored tall grass prairies of Kuehn to remember the land. In this intimate, one-to one setting the Dallas County Conservation Board hopes to form conversations between cultures that will go beyond a history lesson. As the prairie is being awaken, they hope to restore connections to their home.

*The event is free. No registration required. An evening meal will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the celebration. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
