This will be a way for you to learn about all the different trails we have to offer on our Iowa By Trail app. If you like what you read you can download the app and go explore! Fairfield Loop

This week’s featured trail is the Fairfield Trail Loop.

This 16-mile trail loops the outerpart of the town Fairfield. Most of this is through the countryside passing through prairie areas, birdhouses and great views. The Loop Trail officially begins and ends next to the Maasdam Barns.

Cities:

  • Fairfield

This trail is open year-round from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Fast Five (Points of Interest):

  • Fairfield Arts & Convention Center - Stop by to see musicians, comedians, dance performances and more.
  • Cravin’ Cupcakes – Enjoy a specialty cupcake designed to your liking. You pick the flavor, frosting and toppings.
  • Maasdam Barns – Experience the early 20th-century draft-horse breeding business.
  • Cedar Valley Winery – Enjoy some of Iowa’s local wine.
  • Carnegie Library Museum – See 19th century taxidermy.
