REAP In Your Region: Brushy Creek State Park, Bauer Slough and more

For the next six weeks, INHF will be sharing the impact Iowa's REAP program has in communities throughout the state. The Iowa DNR is hosting regional REAP Assemblies until Nov. 5, local meetings that allow residents to learn more about REAP and play a role in the programs policies and projects.

Brushy Creek State Park

No matter the season, Brushy Creek State Park is the destination for lovers of the great outdoors. From boating in the summer to cross-country skiing in the winter, the park has an activity for everyone. Most notable, however, is Brushy Creek's extensive trail system. Over 40 miles of multi-purpose trail intertwine over the park's extensive 6000 acres. Over the years, REAP funding has expanded the property, contributed to lake construction and added trail routes.
