REAP In Your Region: Three Mile Lake, Nine Eagles State Park, Stephens State Forest and more

For the next six weeks, INHF will be sharing the impact Iowa's REAP program has in communities throughout the state. The Iowa DNR is hosting regional REAP Assemblies until Nov. 5, local meetings that allow residents to learn more about REAP and play a role in the programs policies and projects.

Three Mile Lake Recreation Area

Union County's largest recreational facility, Three Mile Lake offers something for everybody. From fishing to camping, the park boasts a variety of year-round activities. Several species of wildlife call the area home, including whitetail deer, wild turkey, quail and Canada Geese. The lake and surrounding area is even a Canada Goose Refuge Site. Through REAP funding, the park has upgraded its campsites, added tracts and conserved the lake's watershed.
