Meet INHF's Spring 2022 interns

Posted on March 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM by Autumn Osia

Please help us welcome INHF's new communications and design interns for the Spring semester! Kristine and Autumn will be assisting with content creation for INHF social media accounts, our blog, website, magazine, event communications and special seasonal projects. They will also have the opportunity to learn more about conservation and nonprofit communications. Learn more about Kristine and Autumn and say hello!

My name is Kristine, and I am the new INHF Graphic Design Intern. I've been in Des Moines for 5 years and I really love the cold weather here while a lot of people try to stay in. I'm a graphic design senior at Grand View University where I expect to graduate in Fall 2022. I'm so excited to start a new intern role at INHF and hope to learn more about designing skills here. I consider myself a quick learner who seeks to discover new things in effective ways. I believe those characteristics will help me a lot to bring out great design ideas for my position. I love animals, especially cats, and I already have two "extra-large" ones in my home, and I'm planning to have more in the near future.

My name is Autumn Osia, and I am the new INHF Communications Intern. I’m currently a senior at Drake University majoring in Digital Media Production and Rhetoric, Media & Social Change with a minor in Sociology. I’m a huge concert and movie goer and love to get outside when I can. My background is primarily in digital content creation so I am excited to bring my experience to INHF while also being open to expanding my skillset through this new opportunity. Additionally, I expect to become more familiar with Iowa’s conservation efforts and become well versed in legislation surrounding what we do at INHF in the process. I’m excited to get started on some projects this spring and look forward to getting to learn from those around me!
