Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation has selected Matt O’Connor of Hopkinton to receive the 2026 Lawrence and Eula Hagie Heritage Award. Endowed in 1989 by Jan Shindel and Ila Jeanne Logan in honor of their parents, Lawrence and Eula Hagie, the award is given annually to a person who has demonstrated extraordinary personal service and commitment to improving the quality of Iowa’s natural environment while encouraging others to do the same.

INHF has selected Dr. Russell (Russ) Benedict to receive the 2025 Lawrence and Eula Hagie Heritage Award. Learn more about Dr. Benedict, a conservationist dedicated to creative visions of a sustainable future and a prolific community-builder.

 

Dr. Jim Pease of Ames has been selected by Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation (INHF) to receive the 2022 Lawrence and Eula Hagie Heritage Award, which recognizes Iowans who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of Iowa’s natural environment and encouraging others to do the same.
