Tanner Bouchard
Tanner grew up in southwest Iowa hunting, trapping and fishing for anything he could catch, envisioning a career in wildlife law enforcement. While on summer breaks from pursuing a degree in animal ecology from Iowa State University, he held multiple seasonal gigs in the Iowa great lakes region, including with Dickinson County Conservation and as a water patrol officer with the Iowa DNR. He began to fall in love with prairie, switching his sights to a full-time career in prairie restoration and stewardship. Tanner took on a permanent role with Dickinson County Conservation and spent four of his six years there working to restore linear prairies as their roadside vegetation manager. He's now excited to be at INHF doing stewardship work on the landscapes he loves in the area he loves, still spending his free time enjoying all the fishing and hunting opportunities that the area provides!
