Join Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation. Polk County Conservation and Polk Soil & Water Conservation District to celebrate National Trails Day! We will be working to build and cut trails at Easter Lake. A bag lunch will be provided.
After our trail work, volunteers are invited to gather at 515 Brewing to enjoy a free beverage on the brewery. Volunteers are welcome to enjoy an evening of free camping at Yellow Banks State Park compliments of Polk County Conservation ( Please indicate your interest in camping when registering). Volunteers will be entered into a raffle for prizes and gear.
Please note: An RSVP is required. Space is limited. Registration deadline is June 2.
Plan to arrive between 12 and 12:45 p.m. to get signed in, gear up, eat lunch and attend a brief safety meeting. Trail work will begin at 1:00 p.m. and go until 4 p.m. Rain date: June 6.
No experience necessary. All the equipment you'll need is provided. Families welcome.
