We’re excited to partner with our friends from Iowa Young Birders for a morning of birding geared towards youth (ages 8-18) and families at Snyder Heritage Farm!
A 154-acre natural area just north of the Des Moines metro, Snyder Heritage Farm hosts a diversity of ecosystems including grassland, oak savanna, woodland, and wetlands. Perhaps not surprisingly, the area is home to a diversity of birds as well!
This trip is free to attend but advance registration is required. As an IAYB event, this field trip is open to young birders and their parents/guardians/caretakers.

It is now a 154-acre natural area just north of the Des Moines metro. Snyder Heritage Farm is stewarded by Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.
Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation is committed to an equitable opportunity for individuals to gather, in which we strive toward an environment that is both safe and welcoming for all. INHF continues to work toward creating a more inclusive environment that encourages, supports and affirms the diverse backgrounds of our event attendees. Attendees whose words, actions or behaviors make other attendees feel unsafe or unwelcome at INHF events will be asked to leave.
