Protect Your Land

To many Iowans, the land they own isn’t just “property.” It’s where they grew up, where they explore and where they’ve invested their heart and soul. INHF has worked with hundreds of landowners to protect land for a variety of reasons.

The first step when thinking about land protection is knowing your options. Each land protection project is unique, and there are many protection choices and tax benefits available to Iowa landowners who want to safeguard the future of their land.

INHF created a website and can have free, confidential conversations to walk you through these different options. Iowa Landowner Options (also available as a printed booklet [link]) details the individual opportunities available to Iowa landowners for conservation protection. The website and booklet are designed to help Iowans navigate the important decisions that come along with permanent land protection.
