The City of Bondurant will celebrate the grand opening of the new Bondurant Regional Trailhead and Depot with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. on June 22, 2013.
The 0.7-acre trailhead park, featuring a 1,440 square foot open-air shelter with restrooms and a water bottle filled station, was established in 2013. It is a replica of the original Bondurant train station. This trailhead is an addition to the 20-mile Chichaqua Valley Trail that stretches from Bondurant to Baxter, which was constructed as an INHF partner project.
The event is in conjunction with the 6th Annual Biking Bondu, a day full of activities that include a bike ride from Bondurant to Baxter.
For more information about both events visit, the City of Bondurant website.
