This spring the land stewardship department at INHF has added a few fresh faces and a new land stewardship director!

Erin Van Waus is the newly appointed land stewardship director. Joe McGovern previously held the position before becoming INHF's third president on May 1, 2013. (Learn more at http://www.inhf.org/presidenttransition.cfm)

Erin started working at INHF as a land stewardship assistant in May 2010, later became a land stewardship associate, and was recently promoted the director of the department. In her new position Erin oversees the conservation easement program, management of INHF properties and the INHF land stewardship interns.

Two new land stewardship assistants, Ryan Schmidt of Keswick, Iowa, and Melanie Louis of Davenport, Iowa, will help Erin and Land Stewardship Specialist Tylar Samuels monitor conservation easements and supervise INHF interns. Ryan and Melanie are both 2012 graduates of Central College in Pella, Iowa.

Ryan, Melanie and Erin are all former INHF land stewardship interns. We are excited to have them on board!
