Mark Ackelson receives Distinguished Community Leadership Award

We’re excited to announce that Mark Ackelson, President of Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, has been selected to receive the A. Arthur Davis Distinguished Community Leadership Award by the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute (GDMLI).

The A. Arthur Davis Community Leadership Award is given to a community leader who has the qualities  of GDMLI’s founder, A. Arthur Davis:

  • Demonstrates a positive regard for the dignity and worth of others.
  • Acts as an agent for change and taking the lead when appropriate.
  • Displays an ability to positively influence people, activities and factors.
  • Demonstrates leadership as well as membership in community, state, national, or International organizations.
  • Exhibits commitment to career progression and is a leader in his/her chosen field.

Mark, along with six other community leaders, will be recognized at the GDMLI’s annual Distinguished Leadership Awards Banquet on April 11th. If you would like to attend the banquet, you can register here.
