Outdoor Skills Day for Youth

By Taylor on May 29, 2014 in Blog

Souix County Field Day

Join the Sioux County Conservation Board and Oak Grove Park for an outdoor skills day Friday, June 6; from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This event is free and open to youth ages 5 to 16; youth 8 and under must have an adult present.

The day offers multiple different tracks for youth to partake in, including archery, outdoor cooking, leather making, canoeing and more. Safety techniques will also be taught in order to show the youth how to properly partake in each activity.

This is the fifth year that Oak Grove Park has partnered with the Sioux County Conservation Board to bring an appreciation and awareness of the outdoors to children and teens.

This is a great opportunity for youth and adults to experience the outdoors, learn new skills and possibly develop a new passion to share with future generations.

There are only 200 spots available for this event. Sign up here before it is too late.
